20 years of, well, stuff!
18 08 2007OK, so we’re moving in about 10 days. My parents have been in this house for 20 years, so there are 20 years worth of stuff to sort out - and today was the start.
We went through the garage and 2 sheds - filling a skip with rubbish & putting more on the front lawn. We put 3 office chairs out on the nature strip, my brothers bet they wouldn’t last the day - but they were gone in 20 minutes! 
Mum kept looking at things and goind down memory lane, including all our baby cards, her engagement & wedding cards, stuff from school and church, and a menagerie of puppets Mum had made, and so much more! It’s amazing the amount of stuff they have accumulated over the years.
The garage and sheds are now clear of junk and the garage now has boxes and furniture ready to be moved. Z is really excited cos his "new" bed is ready to go to the new house and is waiting in the garage 
The count down begins…
Oh, you poor thing - you know how much I hate the moving game! For the past 8 or so years I have moved at least once a year, and I have trouble with that much stuff let alone 20 years worth!
Would be sad leaving a house you have been in for 20 years as well. Here’s to something bigger and better! Good luck with it all…
I hate moving too - for the last 10 years, I have lived in about 9 houses!!
It is sad leaving this house, but the new house is sooooo much better
