My date last night
17 05 2007Z and I had a lovely evening :) In the lead up to the night, de decided he wanted "Lemon Squashed" to drink, and wasn’t too fussed about the food…
Walking to the restaurant, he was a perfect gentleman - holding my hand the whole way.
At dinner, he was well behaved, sitting there telling me all about how lemons are squashed - complete with actions!
At the end of the night - I even got a kiss goodnight
Having a date with a 3 year old is a lot of fun, and a great way to spend some one on one time together. I’m now working out how I can have a date with 5 year old N.

Congrats, glad you had a good “date” - it’s well worth it isn’t it? I love my kids one on one - they are so different than when they are together. TR and I often have girls day out and do stuff together and HG and I get to do it as well but not so often. He came on holiday with me last year…just the two of us.
How beautiful. At ‘almost 15′, I think J would be horrified if I asked him on a date! (But he’d happily let me take him out to dinner)
He told me yesterday he has a dilemma - next month he has to cook a 2 course meal at school, set and theme the table and invite someone to share a meal with him. His dilemma is this: if he invites me, his mates might laugh at him; if he invites a mate, I might be upset. Hmmm… what to do?
Have fun asking N out.
Sounded like fun - may have to try it with my little man!
That’s a great way to build bonds between mum and child. Good Job!
Awww lovely. I love one on one time with the kids. My son and I go on a date every Monday arvo. It’s gorgeous.
