Something Old
2 04 2007I’m taking part in the Business Mums Blog Challenge this week. Wish me luck!
According to my kids, I am old. I’m all of 29 years old, but according to them I’m old.
It’s funny how things are relative. Not that long ago, I thought 29 was old. I can remember as a child insisiting my mother was 21 - I thought that was old! How wrong was I.
These days, 29 is not old to be the mother of a 5 year old and 3 year old. Many women my age haven’t had their first baby! I certainly don’t feel old (well, most of the time anyway! lol
I suppose I have achieved a lot in my 29 years. I have 2 gorgeous kids, a great business, and generally lots of other things I’ve done.
So, while my kids may think I’m "something old" I’m really not….

Wait till you reach 30! That’s when I started feeling old and I still haven’t made 31….
hehe - I’m not feeling old. I still maintain I’m not old enough to have a kid at school! It’s the kids that say I’m old.
ok well you all make me look young at 25
might hang around you guys more often.
Isn’t the saying “you’re only as old as you feel”? Kids have no real perception of age. I remember when I started teaching at the age of 21, one of the students said to me..’you’re about 40 aren’t you”? Not quite…….
hehe MadMadMummy.
And UniqueKids, I agree about the age thing. I don’t feel 29 at all - my kids think I’m old, but still beautiful
