TV Channels…
17 03 2007We bought our TV about 11 years ago for $50 from Blockbuster Video - they were upgrading their systems & were selling off TVs cheap.
Over the years, little fingers have pushed in most of the channel buttons, so the only way to change channel is to use a stick, pencil or chopstick.
This morning, the TV kept jumping to channel 4 (aka channel 9) instead of channel 8 - the one we use to watch video’s & DVDs. This caused all sorts of problems. Last night we went to the church fete and bought some new videos for N & Z. The problem with the TV meant they couldn’t watch their new video’s! Not only that, but the cartoons on Channel 9 weren’t the ones they liked.
Initially I jammed a chopstick into the hole to try & keep the channel chaned… that didn’t work too well as the TV kept jumping back to channel 4… And I thought I was so clever! lol
Eventually the problem sorted itself out - however I think getting a new TV may have to come sooner than I thought.

ah, the old chopstick in the tv trick - we used to use a fork before our tv finally gave up the ghost. However the tv we have in our room is the one that I got for my 15th birthday - remote is on its way out, but its still going strong! thanks dad!!
They were made to last back then! Not like today’s models.
