Every WAHM knows there are certain "Mummy Tasks" that have to be done. You know, those tasks you do in between running your business - washing, housework, lunches, changing nappies, etc. Depending on how much you enjoy it, you could also include spending time with the kids in this.

Really - it isn’t diamonds… I can’t live without my MUG of tea in the morning… Some mornings I need 2 to wake up properly!!! And no, I don’t drink coffee - I can’t stand the stuff. Though I do love the smell of fresh brewed coffee. And it has to be tea, milo just doesn’t have the same effect.
One thing I love about Melbourne is that after a few hot days, a cool change comes through to give respite, at least for a day or so, from the sweltering heat.

Today, we have a cleaner come to clean the house (yay!). Yesterday I asked the boys to tidy their toys. They didn’t do a bad job, most things are away, however they left their cardboard box train out in the middle of the loungroom floor! The cleaner & I have had a good giggle over it

On Monday, I did reading at school for the first time. Basically it involved going through readers with 14 prep kids. It was fun, and something I plan to do regularly :) The sad thing is there aren’t enough parents around who can help out at school - many work, or they don’t speak much English, so the teachers can’t do a roster - they take who they can get! At the open day last ...
My son, N, is obsessed with pirates - and it’s starting to drive me crazy!
He’s made himself a hook, eye patch, sword, and all the other bits a pirate needs - including a bird. He also puts on one boot & says he has a wooden leg 
I suppose there are worse things he could be in to - but I have to admit, I am looking forward to this being over!
